Downtown Ace Hardware

Downtown Ace Hardware opened in 1990 at 227 S. College Ave(one door south of our current locations). After 10 years, we outgrew the space and moved right next door, in May of 2001. Some of you might remember Larrabee's Furniture and JCPenney before them, which occupied our space for many years. In October, we will celebrate our 34th anniversary. We carry 60,000 items in the store and have many more thousands available to us within a few days. We price ourselves on our customer service and product selection. We love being a part of old town and its busy, unique, and diverse living environment. We have been voted Best Hardware Store for several years in a row. Along with Best Outdoor Living store. What truly makes us a favorite destination in old town(aside from the popcorn) is our staff, many of whom have been with us for several years. Their solution driven approach to helping and serving or customers goes above and beyond expectations.
